Mental abuse can take many forms such as shouting, criticising, belittling, name calling, physical or emotional abandonment, shunning, isolation, terrorising, making threats, exploitation and acts of cruelty. Regular exposure to such treatment can cause the victim psychiatric or psychological injury.
Physical Abuse is the unwanted and intentional contact with your body and can take the form of scratching, biting, kicking, punching, slapping, throwing objects at you, pulling your hair or clothing, strangling, pulling or pushing you, forced sexual contact and rape, and any other violent or aggressive acts on your body.
